    Data storage and message reminder

    Data storage and message reminder
    Hello All,
I am not allowed a mobile phone within my office building and I have a terrible memory, therefore I am after a watch that I can program with appointment/meeting reminder alarms ie. alarms with reminders/text attached.

Can anyone suggest any watches that would fulfil this requirement. The cheaper the better, and I am quite happy to buy used/vintage watches.

    Regards

Check out some of the Timex Datalink and Casio Databank models. I've had both in the past and they work pretty well. Probably much more memory and many more features nowadays.

A google or a search of their web sites or ebay should give you plenty of options.

Wouldn't any of the older PDA's fit the bill better than a watch? I mean, of course, casio databank or similar models are pretty good, but if you do not mind the formfactor/size, I would suggest Palm pilots/Treo or Compaq/HP Windows mobile based PDA's with touch screens. They will readily sync with Outlook and you will be a LOT more productive than the databank watches IMHO.

Of course, nothing beats the Geek factor of Casio databank though.

Do the databank watches synch to your computer via bluetooth or anything?

I believe there was a timex which synchronized via computer screen. (Microsoft had something to do with it as well, I believe)

You looked super geeky holding your watch in front of your flickering monitor.

    Not CIA..........obviously
But I do work in an MOD building with top secret classification and we are not allowed to bring any electronic devices/MP3 players/phones/PDAs/USB Flash pens etc etc.

I just want a watch that I can program with a reminder for a meeting/dentist/docs etc etc.

I'm not bothered about synching it to my PC (although if one came with that function it would not be a problem)

I just want something slightly more informative than an alarm.

    Advice always appreciated

    Regards
