Datejust 41 Rolesor, and itís smaller sibling

So I did something very uncharacteristic this weekend. If you had told me I was going to buy a two-tone Rolex Datejust on Thursday, I wouldíve said yeah the blue one with the white gold fluted bezel could be a runner. But while visiting New York City and haphazardly stepping into the 5th Ave., Rolex boutique, I was immediately drawn to the black faced, steel/yellow gold DJ 41 with a fluted bezel and Jubilee bracelet...and I fell in love with it. It was just spectacular looking and stunning. The only problem is my wife who has a very big birthday this week was also drawn to something that was different than her more casual oyster bracelet DJ, So she too was the lucky winner in the sweepstakes and we rolled out a few hours later with something close to his and her watches. This was as close to an impulse as I can say i ever behaved when it comes to watches. In fairness though, I did mull it over lunch, with the help of a few nice juicy IPAs. Some may say this is a little older man looking, but Christ, Iím weeks away from 43 so I guess Iím getting older :). Hope you like it, err them.

Wow, I agree it is a his and hers, and way to get a gift for you on her birthday! Hopefully you got a little discount for the double purchase as well.

    happy birthday to everyone.
