    Davidsen back on a Joa?

I currently have a Davidsen sterile Ti base PAM homage, commisioned before I'd ever heard of Joa. It's very nice, but what I've seen of Joa's work is even nicer. So I contacted him about building me the same watch.

The only thing holding me back is Joa's lack of Ti casebacks. Seems he can only offer steel. My DSN has a solid Ti sterile back and it's quite nice. (I hate display backs!)

So I asked Joa if he thought the backs might be a universal size and thus swappable. He said he didn't know and would get back to me.

My idea is to order the Joa and upon its arrival, swap the steel Joa back for my DSN Ti back, then sell the DSN Ti watch with the steel back.

Does anyone have any idea if this might work?

    Thanks!

Yes, that should work. I've swapped case backs between David's watches and other "Marina Militare" eBay watches before without issue...

If I understand you correctly, you intend to have a Ti back on a steel watch. You will need to use some sort of anti-seize. When a Ti piece is connected to another metal you get galvanic corrosion and the two items basically bond together.
