    Day/Dates for you young guys

The thread on Watches without days reminded about these hideous '60's accessories (OK, I wore 'em for a while - but only 'cause they made me look so studly)
I figured alot of the youngsters here hadn't ever seen these handy pieces of haute horology..............

Part of a "Twelve Pack" of the little buggers

    On a strap

or a bracelet (I seem to remember a "gold tone' model too!

You should wear one into the AD on your most expensive watch and see how long it takes for the sales staff to make a comment.

Wow, I'd completely forgotten about those. I'm now going to leave this thread forever to try to again forget about those.

    On an expansion band.
Choose a job you love, and you'll never work a day in your life because that field isn't hiring.

I remember those being the bees knees when they arrived on the accessories shelf in my favourite haberdashery.

So are those made out of paper or some other material?

And seriously, I'm not that young but these seem so... weird.

Yes, I Remember Mama - but then, I was sort of a trendsettter in the then new lifestyle known as 'couch potatoing' (my dad - never into trendy names - just called me a 'lazy ass'). Think I had a few months worth left when I started wearing my Red LED watch with built in date - and a 'perpetual calender' - oh man, cutting edge!!

I never had one of those pictured but I did have a Gruen that had, integrated into the strap, a "windowed box" that contained little calendars. you selected the calendar that matched the current month, placed in on top of the pile and there was your date!
I wish I could find it as it was very useful.
