I am trying to decide between two watches. One is a old design hentschel with closed back I found on ebay germany:
And a montblanc heritage chronometrie 38mm from ebay:
Both about the same price. The hentschel is 37mm x 10mm. The montblanc is 38mm x 7.65mm. Both good size for my 6.5'' wrist. The hentschel has closed back and I don't like the slight "break line" between the lugs and the case of the hentschel. But I REALLY enjoys the dial of the hentschel. The hentschel uses a direct eta 2824-2 and the MB uses a slightly modified eta 2892-a2 caliber.
I want to select one of this watches as my entry watch, since I am still searching for my ultimate grail watch. This is the post that contains my criterions: https://forums.watchuseek.com/f2/unde...d-4698211.html : thin, central second, date, <40mm, well decorated movement with understated look and clear back case.
I haven't found one yet. So I am selecting one of these two watches above as a back up.
Any suggestions of selection of these two or recommendations for my ultimate grail watch? thanks
