    Deleting Threads?

Why is it that some threads are mysteriously deleted?

If a thread violates the rules & guidelines it will be reported to the mods and the mods or Admin will take the appropriate measures (editing, deleting, PM, ban). All advertising threads which aren´t posted with the Admin´s permission will be deleted as soos as the mods will be aware of.
Some other posts/threads might have been moved to another forum.

Links to commercial sites will also be deleted as soon as possible if not checked with the mods staff or Admin prior to posting. Our rules & guidelines will be the first guide to check.

The threads were in the sales forum and have been there for a week or so but suddenly they disappeared?

Well, we can´t check all threads/posts every day/every hour/minute . But if complaints come up we´ll check and delete if necessary. For example: The rules & guidelines on our Sales Forum clearly state that only sales related posts are allowed, we don´t want to have discussion on watches there. If we become aware of such not-only-sales-related posts they will vanish, some will be deleted at once some after a week. That´s the way it is. If you want to report a thread or post click on the red/white triange on the left and the mods will be "alarmed" and will take care of.
Some threads are deleted by our staff if the seller wants us to do so (if the watch is sold for example). Simple as that.

Thanks. It would be nice to see all Sold Items either deleted or moved to a Sold forum.

If they were deleted, you wouldn't be able to see the really nice items that you missed or the going market rate for selling/ buying a particular watch.

This would require a great deal of energy. As all the WUS mods are volunteers and have a real life outside of Watchuseek we'd like to concentrate on core "business" videlicet talking watches. Your proposal would ask too much time. That's why we'd like to keep the Sales Forum as it is.
