As I understand it the Ray has a bi-directional winding action so the rotor will wind the watch in either direction.

I can't seem to find a photo of the magic lever like the ones used in seiko. On the seiko, the magic lever is clearly visible but not on the orient.

I already checked there. There is nothing about orient.

    It goes both ways.

The Ray uses a magic lever winding system like that found in a Seiko, the pawls are hidden from view underneath the top plate that affixes the rotor. It is bi-directional and the rotor will spin both clockwise and anticlockwise.

Yes, everyone so far is correct, it's bidirectional and uses the magic lever system.

Technically, however, if the question is which way does the rotor turn, all modern automatic winding systems turn both ways, regardless of whether it's unidirectional or bidirectional. Regardless, your Orient turns and winds in both directions.

Absolutely all modern Orient auto watches have bidirectional winding.
