    Dishwasher for bracelets

Just curious if anybody else does it? When my SS bracelets get dirty/gunky I take them off the watch and put them in the dishwasher. They come out brand spanking new. I've been doing this for about a year, on various watches, never had any problems. I like that it really gets all of that black gunk out from between the links.

Sounds like a lot of work. Why not just some dish soap and a soft toothbrush?

Go get an ultrasonic cleaner from Harbor Freight. That way you actually get to see the funk that falls out. Quite satisfying.

That's less work than just plonking it in the dishwasher?

I think that would work well if your bracelet really gets THAT dirty. The only issue I would see is that for some reason it comes apart, it would be hard to recover any parts.

I second the ultrasonic cleaner. I have a couple at work, which work a treat on my bracelets. Not sure if I would buy one just for this purpose though.

Yeah because you have to remove the bracelet.

Do you run it just by itself or is there other stuff in there like dirty dishes? Do you use standard detergent?

... only Cascade and then top it off with Finish!
