    Dive Watch Battle

Hey guys, of this two really, really nice divers which one would you pick:

    1.- The PO:
Beautiful, it's an Omega, it has the coa-axial escapement (some people have complained about it), double AR xtal, 45mm.
    Sells for around USD 2,800.

    2.- The AR500
Beautiful (some people don't care for the cyclops), my guess is that it comes with the SW200 movement with full decor (good, reliable movement), 43mm, sapphire xtal.
    Sell for around USD 1,600

    Which one wins?
I know that the PO has a "better" movement, but i think that the AR500's movement's simplicity is a good feature also, it's probably easier to service/adjust, etc.
Another thing to consider is that the PO is almost USD1,000 more expensive, is it worth it? really?

    OK, let's hear some opinions

Well the poll isn't which is better, it is which would YOU choose, and i would chose the Aquaracer.

I love the look of the 500m, and I could think of better things to do with the extra $1,000.

Tag has some beautiful watches. This isn't one of them. I voted for the PO.

I'd choose the PO. I like the cal. 2500, and as an early model utilizing George Daniels' co-axial escapement might become a bit of a collectible in the future (well, considering the numbers, perhaps not). I like the proportions of the PO, the hands and the dial as well - the heft and finish of the watch give it an aura of quality. If they release this watch with the cal. 8500 ... that would be fantastic!

I do like the design of the Aquaracer too, but since I'm more of a movement person I find the calibre 5 fairly mundane (ETA 2824 base). The cyclops and the patterned bezel throw me off a little as well.

As to whether the extra money is justified ... hmm, you're asking a guy who's considering getting his 2nd El Primero sometime in the future ... what do you think?

Don't care for either, but if you twisted my arm up my back to make a choice then I'd go with the Omega. The hands are puny on the Aquaracer - and the date is upside down

    The PO.
It has a much cleaner design, and a nice movement.
I would consider it myself if it wasn't for Omega's crappy aftermarket service in my country.

Is the third option supposed to be "neither of the two"?

    Nope,
