Sometimes that is how you can get great bargains, when folks don't know what they have and don't know how to list it. But it really is hit and miss and it is impossible to tell from the picture.

It was listed (and priced) appropriately as a "watch for parts".

If it does contain any gold content it will be stamped and hallmarked accordingly.

    Thanks,
    Mike

I will look for hallmarks if I don't see any, I will have it tested.

got to love the optimist ! don't think there has ever been made a Seiko without a serial no -that would be a start but you may have to excavate thru all those carats to find it -

I've seen these Seikos before. I believe they were made specifically as promotional items (I received one as a corporate gift about 18 years ago).

The top side shown in the photos is very deceptive. When you flip it over you see that the bracelet is actually only about 1mm thick and has been formed (stamped probably) to take on the shape of nuggets on the opposite (visible) side. What looks like a gold case is actually just a movement holder, and from underneath there will be four pins that hold an inexpensive, stainless steel encased, movement in place (quartz). The bracelet was real gold, but I don't remember whether it was solid or just gold-filled. Even if it was solid, it's only 10K and it's very thin (as I said, about 1mm thick and formed to look like it's thick and 'nuggety').

What did I do with mine? It went straight into my drawer, and about 10 years later I sold it on eBay... LOLOL

No. Very possibly gold plated. I purchased on of these for my wife in the 1980's. From the photos it looks like the plating is wearing off. Actually my wife's has held up better.
