Do you baby your luxury watches or push them to their limit?

Are you the kind of person who wears their Rolex Seadweller when you scuba dive, or do you take off your Seamaster when washing the dishes?

If you could see the state of my 2 year old Daytona you’d be able to tell that my watches live life to the full.

I wouldn't call it babying them but I'm definitely more conscience of what I'm doing when I have certain watches on. For example, I'll pay more attention to my actions if I'm wearing one of my "luxury" watches vs. wearing my Casio World Time...which I routinely wear to construction sites, hiking, etc.

I don’t think these categories are mutually exclusive the way you’ve described them; I wear my submariner to the beach and scuba diving and etc. without hesitation but I also won’t wear it to the gym where it might smack against a dumbbell or a treadmill, and I’m pretty careful not to knock it into a door jamb.

I push my luxury products to the limit!! I wear them travelling, at the beach, out fishing, at the yacht club and when I'm cookin' up a storm on the grill when I have friends over. I even wore one of them mountain biking, although that one was a sports-luxury type watch. It handled the vibration like a dawg !

My watches are babied according to a combination of price and dressiness, the more expensive and dressy the more babied, including my dressy divers. Most babied is my GS, but even that has accumulated it's fair share of dings and scratches. Then again it depends what you mean by babied, I'll take off a watch while doing dishes to save a leather strap, not because I'm afraid of water penetration into the watch.

I don't like pushing anything to their limit......... I am reasonable when it comes to caring for whatever is on my wrist, luxury or not but I do feel hesitant to participate in certain activities when wearing a luxury watch. Although I know it can take some roughhousing, sometimes I end up telling myself that I should have left the Rolex in the watch box.

Wear them as they are. Some people take babying too far and they don't get to truly enjoy their watch, worrying about "resale" value and etc.
