Seems like there is a lot of mixed reactions to the brand Stuhrling Original on the forums. I six in my collection and they all see wrist time in my rotation. I also have another one coming this week :) Of the 22 watches in my collection, I would say that the Stuhrling's get an equal amount of wrist time along with the Avi-8, Deep Blue, Android and XOSkeleton.
My attraction for the brand Stuhrling Original began Christmas of 2004. My mother-in-law gave me a simple, blue dress watch.
She was then kind to gift me two more over next few years. I also added several.
For awhile I wasn't really digging them as I was bitten with the Invicta bug. After I had several issues with the Invicta's I started to turn back to the Stuhrling's. As they got more and more wrist time, I started to appreciate them more.
I noticed that they have very nice finish and detail. They use decent movements, nothing extravagant but nothing that is considered horrid. For the price point, Stuhrling Original creates a very nice watch. I wouldn't pay more than a couple hundred for any of there watches. My preference is Stuhrling over Invicta because of quality, style, slightly more honest pricing. Comparing my Stuhrling's to the other watches in my collection, I would say that they are along the same build as an Android and Avi-8. Invicta, Swiss Legend and Rotary are below both of them. I believe that my Seiko 5 and Deep Blue are the only two watches that are superior to the Stuhrling's. The XOSkeleton is on par or maybe slightly better even though it is not a huge gap.
So my questions to you fine folks is, do you like Stuhrling Original? Why or why not? Which would you prefer, Stuhrling Original,Invicta or Android? Also, do you have any Stuhrling family pictures to share?
Sorryy unable to get pictures to post, will use tapatalk in a moment to send pics. Sorry about that.
