I don't carry spare eyeglasses or contacts (and I need them to see pretty much anything).
Some days I don't even carry spare clothes and have to go about shirtless.
But a watch. Now, that is something important so a spare is a must.

    Seriously a spare watch?

I know on multiple occasions I have forgotten to put on a watch because of being in a hurry. Also, zombie apocalypse.. One can never be too prepared

...a spare pair of sunglasses in the glovebox, a spare tire in the trunk, a spare door key under the potted plant...these I have. A spare watch?... Hmm, anything OVER necessity is "spare" I guess...
Well, I AM a collector; I have plenty of "spare" watches...I just don't call them that.

I always have a G-Shock in the glove compartment. Mainly because I've ran out the door and somehow forgotten a watch. Can't handle that all day rolling my wrist over for a quick time check. Plus I'll always have a backup in case something happens to my watch if the day. Great thread.

I AM an enthusiast. Teach me your ways to be a collector. What do you refer to your "spares" as?
