    Do you keep a spare?

Just pondering today how many of us WIS'ers keep a spare watch in around in a glovebox, desk at work, ect. At any given time I have a spare in my car's center console incase of emergencies.

    where do you keep yours?

At home, I enjoy a nice watch but have never had a watch emergency and hope I don't.

Hopefully...you'll never have to experience this yourself, but when two men are in a situation like me and your Dad were, for as long as we were, you take on certain responsibilities of the other. If it had been me who had not made it, Major Coolidge would be talkin' right now to my son Jim. But the way it turned out is I'm talkin' to you, Butch. I got somethin' for you"

I carry a G Shock for backup and the barometer when I travel.

I've got a Swiss Quartz zodiac strapped around my ankle at all times, in case I ever forget to wear a watch

Yes, typically have the spare located in the computer bag (which I more or less live out off 5 days a week) in a good travel case. The type of watch depends on the mood but typically something with a battery (or in rare ocassions an automatic).
Never keep one in the car, too much temperature change throughout the day and I would be very unhappy if the car was broken into and the watch stolen.
    Happy collecting!

Seems risky. Do you ever experience chafing? @MidwestOris

I used to carry one in my back pack, but I found out through trial and error that stuff in there gets beat around. That's when my spare got moved to the car. Usually just a cheap beater in there

MDV-106......the perfect car spare. Punches way above it's weight, robust enough, easy to replace if it goes missing and always quartz accurate.
