Still not seeing the problem. Women wear watches much larger (my other half frequently wore my 41mm SMP). But who cares? If shes wants to wear it, whats the big deal?

I bought a vintage Omega Seamaster for my Dad, and both of my teen-aged daughters drooled over it and wanted to wear it. The younger women at work who wear watches tend to wear very chunky watches, though they don't tend to be huge. I think smaller diameter men's watches on women are fashionable now.

    Cheers,

I wear a Hamilton Pan Europ everyday on my 5 3/4" wrist. Looks great and the hubs loves it. It's all about the lugs. If she gets into men's watches, you can develop a great hobby together ;)

On of the big complaints about modern Rolex Datejusts (for men) is that 36mm is to small, a woman's size. Presumably this sentiment is one of the reasons Rolex introduced a 41mm Datejust. So, clearly a 36mm watch on a woman's wrist is not only fine, but just about right in some circles.

I don't get what's strange about this in the slightest. Personally, I don't think items such as watches and sunglasses should even be gendered. I see girls wearing the same raybans as me almost daily. Who cares?
