Don't say "Goodbye Watchussek", take the HOROLOGICAL CHALLENGE instead!

    Hi all!
I was not going to post this until I completed the first stage of the Horological Challenge, but after a member said goodbye yesterday I decided to go ahead and make the Horological Challenge public.

For information on what the Horological Challenge is, watch this YouTube video:

...and Godspeed to all who accept the Horological Challenge!

I don't know why you say "goodbye", I say "take the HOROLOGICAL CHALLENGE."

Uhhh ... isn't the other name for this "being a responsible adult"?

Is this one of those millennial things because everybody got a trophy?

    That is absurd.
1- There are a lot or re responsible adults who flip their watches as a hobby in a responsible way.
    2- Trophy what trophy?
3-I don’t think this is a millennial thing as I’m way past that age. Everybody has some room for improvement. This is about motivation, is about adding value to your watch because you know it has pushed you to greater achievements. and yes, it’s about having fun in the process. That’s all. Why be so bitter about it?

The nearest I get to the horological challenge is not buying another watch unless I’ve got the funds for it (there really is no hope for me)

Some people are self-motivated and do all of those things out of a sense of dignity and without expecting a reward "push".

I'm sorry, but I found that video intensely annoying.

I don't understand why you couldn't simply have written down your thoughts about the "horological challenge" in your initial post, which we could have skimmed in a fraction of the time it takes to hear you drone on about it in the video. If I heard you give a presentation, I would be the first to walk out the door. What an absolute waste of time.
