"Dressing up an Omega Planet Ocean GMT" and a great Omega Boutique experience

The latest addition (too good to pass up Christmas deal) Omega Planet Ocean GMT started life with the oem black rubber strap with orange stitching. It's attractive, very sporty and extremely comfortable. As I have worn the watch for the past 5 days straight, I realized I was going to use this watch as a daily wearer and for business travel. So if I was to wear with suits, sport oats and jeans - the black/orange would probably break some fashion rules. I go to the boutique who ordered the all black rubber thinking this would be a way to go. In the window was a solid gold PO GMT with a price tag of $28,600 with a beautiful, fitted black alligator strap (when your pay that much for a watch, you're make the fashion rules!). I inquired and moments later, it was on my wrist - the specially fitted alligator strap, that is! And while waiting, they throw in some Omega swag - couldn't be happier with the whole experience.

    Started life this way...

Now dressed up with the fitted alligator - I can definitely use this as a business travel watch!

And with the extra swag - Omega hat, tote bag and magazine (not shown is ice cold Perrier in a glass). Happy New Year everyone!

That's a great strap that looks mighty fine on your PO GMT. I was able to convince the OB to toss one in when I was buying my LE LM PO a few years ago...

Thanks - you must be a darn good negotiator. These straps cost as much as a decent watch!

I came THIS close to getting a PO this year (2015) it wasnt even funny.

Not to mention that the AD jumped me as soon as i walked up to the display case and offered to sell me one of two unspoken for James Bond SM Aqua Terras they had left.

Beware a good seller can smell a watch hound a mile away!

I'll never understand divers on a leather strap, GMTs I can somewhat understand but still not entirely. Cool freebies though!

    Looks good!

I have had nothing but good experiences at the Chicago and St. Louis Omega Boutiques. I ought to post my recent experience at the St. Louis one.
