    DYI project "Tudor Ranger Heritage".

There several watches that I'm mildly would like to have - mostly for the look.

One of them "Tudor Ranger Heritage".
My idea is to recreate same look at minimal price.

While I can easily find strap on Amazon, without any issues I'm having hard time
find automatic watch with clean black vintage dial 42 mm size under 200 dollar.

Is there any options? Thanks in advance.

It's not DIY, but Corguet makes a very similar homage of the Ranger. It's similar enough that it verges on being a replica just with a different name stamped on it.

Maybe an Invicta 8926 mod with a sterile (?) bezel? Can't remember what they call that blank beveled bezel.

Check out the Invicta 8926 mods thread in the Affordable forum.

I'd imagine Hamilton would have what you want. But at that point, might as wall save up for the Tudor

I've seen some Seiko SNK809 mods to resemble a ranger, but I've never been a big fan of Seiko mods to make them look like other watches.

You can start by doing an online search for sites that sell cases, movements and dials to do your project. There’s even kits you can buy for beginners. Plenty of them around.

Google Invicta Murphy bezel and look at the smooth bezel.

Crystaltimes has every part to build a watch. Esslinger.com, too, I think.
