    Embarrasing newbie question

When you buy a new watch there´s a clear sticker with a red line on the back case. Are you supposed to leave it on?! I think i looks tacky and remove mine, but on the otherhand I´m not planning on selling a watch.

    Just curious for future reference...

Some ppl. leave stickers on casebacks to avoid scratches but there's no real reason to do so and it won't hurt re-sale unless maybe you'd list it as new and unworn.

And if it is a sticker, it will spread the sticky stuff around. Those green Rolex stickers don't last long either.

Some people (like, maybe, well...me) leave 'em on for a day or two to prolong the "newness" for a bit :)

As Sean quoted some other person " there are no stupid questions, just stupid answers!"

Do what you want! But if your watches are SS or Gold they will never rust if you leave those stickers on. I leave most of mine on just to keep the swirlies off the caseback!

I'm with Paul. I keep the plastic disc on my watches that have metal bracelets to keep scratches off the caseback when I take them off. It also helps keep the watch from sliding around in the winter.
