    Embarrassing question number...

I lost count! Here it goes: I have three automatic dive watches (with Myota) that I love so much I am wearing them all the time. My question is how do I wind them: specifically, once I pulled the crown do I turn it it clock wise? (my bet) Or counter-clock wise?

This does sound silly I realize, but when a kid I had a watch which I had to wind every night, the way it was done -- as far as I recall -- was by rotating the crown back and forth (after pulling it out).

My watches all turn clockwise without an exception, though I don't have any with miyota movements.

Wind them by turning the crown clockwise/ north.

the back and forth method still works... the reason for it is that your winding clockwise and nothing happens counter clockwise... i've seen watchmakers do this.

Only some of the Miyota movements support manual winding by crown, Example 8215 does not.
