    Re: Enicar Automatic

Hey Roy. I personally have never seen such a logo (talking about the woman on trapeze one) either. But a couple of things I know about Enicar is that a poorly printed Enicar logo is one of the first signs of problems. Also there's a plethora of "Enicar" watches cheaply made in India these days. Not saying yours is one, but unless you are sure of the provenance of your watch, I would have a doubt that it is one of those.

Hi,thanks for your reply,I do deal in watches and have bought some from India! I have bought this one from England from a genuine person who's father had a collection of watches.I have studied the dial with a jewlers loup and it is not! a repainted one,it is totaly genuine and pristine, not an Indian repaint. This watch totaly baffles me with the logo it must mean something!.I realy hope that someone can give me an anwser.Kind Regards Roy.

    Re: Enicar Automatic

Hi once again,I have just spoken to the person I bought the watch from,it was one of his late fathers collection who died about 2 years ago,he still has more watches to sell and said his father only bought quality Swiss watches,he also said before selling the watch he did look on the internet and saw another with the same motif but cannot remember which site.I am still positive this is a genuine and possibly quite a rare Enicar watch.Kind Regards Roy.

I hope for you it is, Roy. If you find more information about that logo, please do post it as I am curious about it.

Possibly a company logo placed on a watch for using as a premium of some sort.

Yes, the logo looks like it could belong to a company or exhibition. Does not strike me as a rare Enicar model. The original owner may be able provide some additional information.

I recall someone on this forum with an encyclopedic knowledge of that brand. I'll do some digging and see if I can come up with his name.

    Re: Enicar Automatic

Hi,thanks that would be great,I did not mean it was a rare model, just the logo.I have been back to the person I bought the watch from he told me his Father left him quite a collection including Rolex Omega's etc,he died 2 years ago so does not know the history of the watch. This is the first of the collection he has put up for sale so far,he did say his Father only collected the very best Swiss watches and this was one of his favorites. The photo is not that good (my camera) but like I have mentioned I have looked very closely with a +30 loup and it is an original dial perfectly printed even the Saturn and rings.I would just love to find out what this logo was for and very grateful if you can help in any way.Kind Regards Roy.

    Re: Enicar Automatic

Here you go. The original poster in the linked thread knows a lot about Enicar watches. Unfortunately he hasn't posted for a while but leave him an email. The thread itself is interesting.
