EOL (End of Life) - Video !

Yesterday, during dinner, my friend asks me "What's wrong with your watch?" I got worried, thinking, "What can go wrong with my trusty Luminox Navy Seals??" Then I realized AH!! EOL !! Cool !!

So, took a video (hope this works), enjoy! And of course, being the amazing Tritium tubes, I had to take a vid of it in the dark ! (My digi cam couldn't get too close to it, so you may have to turn up your monitor's brightness and contrast)

Nice feature. Interesting how long will it hold like that until battery death?

Or how long until the discharged battery leaks and ruins a watch

Hehe, good point. But I think it takes years for a battery to leak? Because i have a swatch that I forgot about and the dead battery was in there for at least 5 yrs, still no leaking problems.

Nice, I was always curious how the EOL looked on battery watches. I know the Eco Drives go into two second steps when they need a boost.

Silver oxide batteries leak when the amount of H2 gas built up inside the cell (H2 is produced by corrosion of one of the byproducts of the chemical reaction that produces the electricity) reaches a pressure that exceeds the limits of the case.

So, we can see than the quality silver-oxide cells decreases the likelihood of leaking.
