Nixon and ER Souliers de skate (translated as skate shoes) unwrap another joint project; The ER x Nixon Time Teller. Limited to 100 pieces, the watch will be available exclusively at certain specialty skateboard and premium concept stores in France starting April 2015 and retailing at just 130 euros.
ER Souliers de skate is a skateboard-oriented, premium footwear label by shoe designer Eugène Riconneaus, an up and coming personality on the French fashion scene. He takes his inspiration from underground culture while living his vision of eternal adolescence. "l'Enfant Terrible" started his career designing luxurious footwear for women that has earned him fame.
His radical style combines feminine extravagance with a notorious punk attitude that is considered the voice of a generation who strives to be chic and casual at the same time. Although only 25 years of age, Riconneaus counts over 13 years of “savoir faire” and has a long record of collaboration partners reaching from premium retailers such as colette, Harvey Nichols or 10 Corso como to car manufacturers such as BMW and Mercedes, up to various artists and filmmakers as diverse as Maripol, Larry Clark or his favorite cartoon hero Batman.
The ER x Nixon Time Teller features minute and hour hands in sandblasted stainless steel, while the second hand stands out in bright metallic orange. The watch band is made of black pull-up embossed crocodile leather and has a stainless steel butterfly clasp carrying Eugène Riconneaus’ signature. To add a final – undeniably French – touch, every caseback features the engraving “Merci, Au Revoir” and is individually numbered from 1 to 100.
