I have a george von burg sport 2 (ETA7750-based) that I was gifted about 4 years ago. I know the watch was purchased used ~8 years ago, was not worn for the first four, and I'm unaware of the prior owner's service history, so it's certainly in need of a service... I've been wearing it daily for the past few years.
Having said that, activating the chrono after reset requires a heavy push and has a strong click. When I pause the chrono and attempt to resume it without a firm push, the chrono doesn't resume. The second counter won't move, and the resume pusher turns mushy and is unresponsive. I can get it to start moving again by pressing the reset pusher, which doesn't actually reset the time, but instead resumes the second hand. The resume pusher has a very faint click when resuming with a firm press, and the chrono will still restart and works as expected.
Is this the normal operation of the chrono? I've never owned a mechanical chrono before.
