I have an opportunity to buy a new Eterna Adventic GMT which has the in-house Calibre 3834. I like the look of it but its an old model (3-4 years). Just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this model or has owned / owns one and can offer any opinions?
its bad design and its been on sale for a while on GM sites and not sold out. The silver polished markers make no sense other than to match Eterna's logo, so while someone thought it was a great way to implement the brands logo, they didn't quite think about how it would make reading the watch that much harder since they don't line up with actual hour markers which would make reading time hard defeating the purpose of a watch.
Thanks for your reply's, i appreciate it. However, I'm still being pulled towards it. For the price it is now available for, around $1,900 I think t represents decent value and after seeing these wrist shots, i'm even more tempted. I guess it comes down to, are there better watches to be had for the same amount that i like more and will I lose money if I decide to move it on?
If NOS examples are slow to move you will definitely lose money trying to sell a used one. But then that's the case with most watches. If the in-house movement is a big part of the attraction have a look at Nomos and Frederique Constant models with the manufacture movements. Not going to say they are 'better' but they are a couple of alternatives that come to mind.
