Is Eterna a luxury quality brand? I am specifically looking at a moonphase watch that has a valjoux

I am on the market for a moonphase dress watch, the first choice is a JLC master control but budget does not allow so I was looking at a zenith elite moonphase for about $3,500 but then again budget issues so I am left with an eterna soleure moonphase but I am concerned with the quality, I did some reserch and learned that they have been making watches since 1856 and that they started ETA wich we all know...... but I wanted to hear from the forum guys, any feedback?
    thanks!

The Eterna Soleure moonphase is a very beautiful watch. Brand is definitely nothing to worry about in this case.

Similar moonphase 7751 I'd also consider Sinn, Longines , Mido and maybe others that might be available at a lower price than the Eterna. The Eterna itself is a very good choice though. Are you also considering used, in which case probably you could get quite a bargain, here's one example.

Yes, that would be considered a luxury watch. A great choice! Post pics up if you get one!

I found an Eterna soleure moonphase for $1,500 barely used, I pulled the trigger on that one real quick haha, thanks for the reply, cheers!

You can't go wrong with the Eterna Soleure. Heavily modified ETA with monopusher chrono.

The term "luxury" is tricky around WUS. Many folks don't even consider Rolex to be in that category. Semantics aside, Eterna definitely makes fine watches. I would not worry at all about the quality of an Eterna timepiece.

I have 2 Eternamatics; one was my father's and it is 53 yrs old, the other Eternamatic 3000 is about 43 years old. They have been CLA'd several times and still work great. You can't go wrong with this underrated and sometimes underappreciated brand. Almost every brand uses ball bearing rotors that Eterna invented in 1948.

I love the Eterna Soleure Moonphase. Definitely a luxury watch in my book. I wouldn't hesitate to buy one.
