IWC Portuguese chronograph(older model) threw me as well. It looks amazing in photos, but in the flesh and on the
wrist it did not work for me.

Absolutely agree with this. I have tried the Portuguese on a dozen times. It looks so good in the case, but it just looks oversized on my 7.25" wrist.

Yes, almost any watch over 40mm I feel doesn't wear well on my wrist. There are many watches I love in photos but know won't work for me. Some examples I have flipped are Cobra de Calibre, Orient Filght, and Seiko monster. I dream of a MM300 but I know if I ever did go for it it'd probably look ridiculous on my wrist.

Had a bunch I sold because they started looking too big to me after a while.

Loved the SBGA105 at first but after a while felt I wanted something with less polished surfaces.

No it hasn't happened to me but I have had watches, like the current Aqua Terra, that I loved in photos but didn't love in person.

I haven't managed to bond with this one yet to the point that it’s still unworn after 5 months of ownership. Just bought a dark blue leather strap (due to arrive anytime now) to see if any better.

Tissot PRC 200 quartz. My first "serious" watch purchase before mechanicals. My purchase feeling was that everything was clean and crisp. On my wrist, it seemed too shiny, too busy, too something. Never bonded.

Not really wrist rejections but I have bought many a watch I liked in photos but didn't like so much in person.
