Ever wonder about your old friends?

Ever wonder where your sold watches are now? If they are still with the people you sold them too, if if they have been moved from home to home?

Ever wonder if they reached foreign shores....if they are cold? Hungry? Scared? Ever want to tell them, “I’m sorry, it wasn’t you, it was me!” lol...really; Ever look at old pictures on your phone, and think; “where are you now?”

Nope. Sometimes I can't even find the ones I still have.

I irrationally sold my Brietling Shark after I thought I needed funds. About a year or two later I contacted the buyer asking if I could buy it back. He told me he had the watched refaced from the original blue to white! I was mortified and didn't buy it back.

Ever wonder about your old friends?

Tbh, no.... but now I am!

It’s probably a fruitless endeavour wondering, but I’m sure a lot of them have made something of themselves and never look back on me.

(So, don’t come back, ya jerks!)

I get a little sad if I click on someone’s profile and they no longer own the watch I sold them. I feel betrayed and a little sad. I know this is irrational since I also sold the watch, but I feel like they should have given me a heads up and asked my permission before selling, since the watch has already been unloved and passed off by me the person who bought it needs to be extra sensitive to not hurting its feeling to a greater extent and making it endure yet another rehoming.

    Yeah, makes no sense

No. I’m too busy looking at new ones! Then again, I’ve only sold one that I had for any decent length of time (constant flipper - commitment issues maybe?).

Here is something even weirder. I often miss talking to the buyers of some of my watches. I have talked watches with some very interesting, cool people. After a certain amount of time I feel weird reaching out to say hi so I don’t, but none of my friends are WIS so it is nice to talk watches with the readers and buyers in this forum.

    Off topic...

I do wonder what happens to WUS regulars who vanish. Like, I can think of specific members that suddenly stopped posting. Are they OK? I hope so, but why would a regular just vanish suddenly...
