    everyday watch

hey, i'm looking into getting an everyday watch (something not too shiny and more casual). im a male in my late 20's. can anyone make any good recommendations... looking for something under $500 but open to spending more. I like the halmiton khaki field watch (with black leather strap) and the momentum titan III but not sure if these are too dressy.

I have the Hamilton Khaki field 38mm auto, great watch looks great with casual clothing and smarter clothing, very versatile. It looks smart and you can tell its good quality without being at all 'flash'.

+ 1 on the Khaki Field watch. That's what I was going to recommend when I started reading your post.

More details would be great. What are your must-haves and a few more preferences. Mechanical or Quartz? etc. This will help us narrow down the suggestions.

Have you looked at the Steinhart Ocean 1?

Honestly, you've already found it in the Hamilton Khaki Field. If you find it too dressy on a black leather strap, dress it down with a brown leather strap, or a canvas strap, or a NATO, etc.

That Hamilton is nice; but this depends on your definition of every day and what you do during the day.
I have varied things to do. I have low end toughies (Seiko, Citizen, Orient) to beating around. If I'm not doing anything to worry about then there is Hamilton and a number of others ( I like both Pilots and Divers) and then there are the days I have to go out or something and I wear something a bit more subtle, white/black plain face w/Romans.
So, what is your everyday like? If it is not anything where you are going to clobber it, the Hamilton is a nice pic, but then so is Steinhart, Stowa, etc.

I think Victorinox Swiss Army, Hamilton and CW are your best bet. Maybe Citizen or Seiko if that's your scene.

I am wearing my Khaki Field everyday for almost a week now. Great watch, nice stylings and very versatile.

I have it on a thick black leather band as a nod to my military days of yonder.

I would look at the Stowa Flieger if you can afford it, they are some of the best value going and are casual, but can be dressed up with a croco strap. Laco is a nice choice if Stowa is out of your price range. Both have a great historical tie which is a huge bonus in this affordable price range.
