    Everyday watch to wear with suit

    Guys,
    Back in the market for an everyday watch to wear with a suit. Currently have a Deep Blue diver which I like immensely, however its very large and does not fit well when wearing a suit.
    I am looking at something in the way of IWC Portuguese type, Hamilton Jazzmaster Chrono, Maestro style of watch. I don't do classical dress watch styles as I prefer something a little larger and . Below is the criteria I am hoping for;
    Budget $700
    42-44mm
    Sapphire Crystal
    Automatic
    Prefer Swiss or German
    Strap or Bracelet
    Prefer Black Face.

    I don't really like plain faces on watches such as the Le Locle or most of the Seiko offerings. Done quite a few searches and haven't been able to really find anything that suits.
    Thanks

    a colleague of mine recently purchased a Roamer automatic day/date. White dial, 42mm, metal bracelet, online for about $400-500. Its a nice watch. I guess Longines do some watches that would suit your style, although the autos would exceed your budget, even the quartz are prob a bit pricey too, but very nice.

    +1 on the Tissot. Another option is the black version of the Rotary Les Originales Super 25 Rotamatic. Its a 42mm remake of their excellent 1950s Super 41. Swiss made, ETA 2824 movement, sapphire crystal, rear display window with hunter case back. A left of field suggestion. I can't find any decent pics of the black version, but here's a review of the gold/white variant http://www.thewatchsite.com/index.php?topic=15943.0

    Since you said you liked your Deep Blue dive watch maybe you should give a look at the Deep Blue Fleet Admiral. This model meets your criteria except for the movement preference. It runs on a Miyota 9100 series movement(9105 I believe). I do not own one personally but know others that have it. They say that it is very good,very smooth sweep due to its high vibration. I own several DB dive watches and can say that they are of very high quality as you already know from owning one yourself.

    Just FYI the lugs changed at some point between design and production: most stock pictures have the non-integrated ones but the actual watches have em integrated

    A dress watch means it's going to be a bit plain in the face... especially for the <$700 price point. How about the 43mm Christopher Ward C9 Harrison?

    or a little more interesting perhaps with teh GMT version?
