    Feel cheated by AD

Just to preface this by saying that i wont mention names or prices.

I just bought an Autodromo Stradale from one of their stockists. This watch had long been sold out but by fluke i found one online and in the style i wanted. So i paid full retail and had it shipped to me. Upon receiving it i realized the watch was just too small for my wrist even though it was a 40mm watch and i own others in that size. At this point i wrote them back asking if they accept returns since their website makes no mention of it. If i would have been stuck with the watch then no big deal, id keep it and wear it. No answer back but that's fine, it has only been half a day.

Later that night upon further inspection i see a few hairs in the box and the strap seemed to have been used. Possibly a display model or return. The paperwork also shows a purchase date of June 2018 and lastly there was no protective wrapping on any parts of the watch (not sure if Autodromo even applies those, maybe someone can confirm)

So now it has been a day with no answer, phone goes to voicemail. Pre-sale they were super responsive and now nothing. Luckily, i did pay PayPal.

    What do you guys think?

Was it supposed to be new? Can you provide a link to the listing?

It was not in their pre-owned section and there was no mention of it being a display model. To me, i was buying new. I prefer to hear back from them first to work through this before posting any links.

For sure i will but what bothers me is that any pre-sale question i had in the past (for any watch i was interested in) was answered almost immediately.

Send them an email from another email account / different name, asking about another watch. If they respond, then you know they are dishonest.

Or waiting to hear from someone else / their manager before replying.

It's always their manager who responds to the emails

Maybe the senior manager then - most people have a made up job title nowadays. No one likes to feel like they are being handles by the lowest of the low, so those fresh out of school are given flashy titles such as senior sales director (at least in the field I work in).

If you are that anxious, send another email letting them know that you will be filing a PayPal claim if you do not hear from them within __ hours.
