    Fill in the Blank?

    Hi,

Post a photo of a watch that meets the following criterion

    - Brand: Not Chronoswiss, GO, IWC or JLC
    - Movement: Automatic
    - Functions: Hours, minutes, seconds, date (with lume)
    - Size: >36 mm, <42 mm diameter x <12 mm depth
    - Case material: Stainless
    - Case back: display caseback
    - Dial color: Black
    - Price: $5-10k
    - Style: More sporty than the GO and less sporty than the IWC

    Bob

Here is a picture of the rest of the collection for context:

This would go nicely with the rest of your collection ...

Zenith El Primero Stratos ... should be out later this year. Or, something a little less sporty ...

Also out later this year, a Zenith El Primero Pilot ...

    Re: Fill in the Blank?

The Omega Aqua Terra calibre 8500 with the Tek dial (which is meant to resemble the deck of a yacht/boat)! It's 41.5mm and less sporty than the IWC, but more than the GO. It also houses Omega's in-house co-axial movement with 60 hours power reserve. However, the case thickness is at 12.5mm, though the rest of your prerequisites seem to be satisfied... It's a bit below the price range, unless Omega ups the prices post-Basel, and perhaps even adds the Si-14 silicon balance spring and wheel for the date-only model. The Omega would be a deviation from most of your watches and meets the IWC somewhere in the middle.

I'm sticking to the rules even though that 12mm height restriction is killing me!

Does this mean no other complications (GMT, rower reserve, ect.)?

Here's another one. What about a Perrelet Big Date A1002/2? Definitely a dress watch and it looks sporty with the edgy traits.

    Oh wait... it's 42mm x 12mm and sub-$4,000.

GMT is OK, no power reserve preferred (on JLC already)
