Picture Finally getting my Connie fix!

Powered by a cal. 564 (quickset date), no less! It's a ref. 168.018 from 1968 (from the mvmt. no.) in pretty good condition. Shall post up pics as soon as I get it. Some pics from the seller ...

I really like the copper-beryllium coating on those vintage Omega movements. The gold "linen" type dial is really cool too

Haha, sorry about that mate! I'd get into quite a fix if my girl found out that I was dallying around with a Connie!

Very very nice!! My Seamaster has the similar copper-coloured 562 calibre, and they are indeed a beautiful movement; I sat and stared at mine for hours when I got it. Bet you will too!

    Congrats on a beautiful watch.

Thank you, Sherry! I do love the Omegas from that period, the quality is tangible and visible for all to see.

I can't wait to get it ... hope to have it in my hands the beginning of next week!

Off-topic: Is that a Zenith movement in your avatar (a cal. 25xx in your Sporto if I'm not mistaken?)?

That's a really nice pick-up! You sure can choose 'em

    Congratulations,

For me, every day is a new thing. I approach each project with a new insecurity, almost like the first project I ever did, and I get the sweats. I go in and start working. I'm not sure where I'm going - if I knew where I was going, I wouldn't do it. Frank Gehry

Thanks a lot, Wallace! I hope I do get the watch without any ... *ahem* incident.
