Serial flipper, impulse buyer, impulse seller, I'm all that. However, when I started eyeballing a smallish vintage (mainly a Longines or Omega - feeling kind of Mad Men vibe, you know?), wondering if it would get wrist time or get lost in the shuffle, I look up on my bench and find this gorgeous vintage Glycine/Eugene Meylan Compressor!
It checks the very box I was shooting for and more. Rather than going 34-35mm and fretting the small size, this ons is a nice 37mm and wears even larger due to case shape. The rallye checks around the dial adds intrigue and sportiness (Don Draper on steroids). I mounted it on this awesome Rios 1931 gray gator w/deployant. I remembered reason I put it up - crown won't wind. Who cares! It's auto and runs beautifully.
I'm at about 25ish pieces and definitely need to prune (famous last words), but looking to buy a style you already have and forgot about is a tad over-the-top. Maybe I'll sell something. Nah!
