Finally able to point my finger on what it is about certain watches I dislike.
Funny how I avoided buying watches with this feature without even realizing it. For some time now I look at certain watches and admire them but something keeps me away. I was so close to pulling the trigger on a JLC 976 but there was something about it I wasn't crazy about. The same happened to a few other watches while browsing them I liked the case, the style and design...but there was just something. Then it hit me. I am not fond of full numbers going around a dial. I can handle bezel numbers and even a 12,3 6 and 9 but full numbers of the hours going around a dial...I just don't like it. It makes me think the watch designer didn't think a grown adult can figure out within a few seconds what the time was unless the numbers were blatantly illustrated as clear as day (I'm sure is not the case) and also the dial just looks cluttered and uselessly busy. I added two watches for each random brand similar in style just to compare. I prefer the look of each of these without the full numbers by a mile...what do you think?
