Frederique Constant Index Automatic vs. Tissot Visodate

I need your help! I'm looking to buy a "no frills" gold dress watch and I'm debating between these to choices:

    1. Frederique Constant Index Automatic

    vs.

    2. Tissot Visodate

Which one would you guys prefer??

Well... do you want a day/date or just a date complication? Personally, as much as I like Tissot, I'm leaning towards the FC because the hands just plain look better.

Having a day/date isn't that big of a deal for me. I'm fine with just a date complication.

Similar watches. Which date treatment do you prefer?

I prefer the look of the FC, so that's the one I'd go for. Not sure how much help that is...

Tissot is a forum darling, but when I tried it on in person it left me cold. Case was a bit tall and angular for this watch design and dial felt flat.
I'd go w FC on this one as it seems a bit more elegant

I tried on both in the stainless steel versions and the FC was nicer for me.

Like a previous poster stated, the Visodate, while looking great in photos, left me a bit cold when actually strapping it on.

Best is to try them on and decide what's best for you.
