    Friendly watchmaker

So today I went into Ben Bridge to get my Windrider regulated and pressure tested. We shot the breeze about watches while he worked on it, then when he was finished he told me there was no charge, and to just come back and see him again. I will be visiting again, and was happy to converse with a fellow watch enthusiast.

Maybe he just has his year end bonus and was in good mood.

Nonetheless it makes you feel good to offer some free services from time to time.

    Re: Friendly watchmaker

I've read other similar experiences where the watchmaker at a Ben Bridge will come out and talk with the customer, with favorable reviews. That may be disruptive to their work, but I think it's a far better customer experience as compared to having one of the sales clerks take it back and bring it out. Ben Bridge seems to understand that watch enthusiasts (probable return shoppers) prefer speaking with the watchmaker.

Wow that's really cool. I have a Ben Bridge near my house, I think I'll head over and see if they would pressure test my Omega. I don't think they carry the line but I'm always up for looking at watches.
