A few days ago, drhr held a small "contest" of sorts to commemorate his 1000th post. By random draw, I happened to be selected for the prize. For this, I am very grateful to drhr and hope to see him post many thousands more posts.
As I told him, this came at quite a big surprise because I only entered for the fun of it but what came of it was far more than I expected. I had recently sold my '69 King Seiko in order to get my girlfriend a nice watch to be able to wear to work and to travel(to Costa Rica) with. So I had this Seiko sized hole in the heart but I wasn't quite at the point where I could fill it with a Grand Seiko or replacement King Seiko. The beautiful Seiko offered by drhr was a SNZG15K1. Quite a robust piece and far more stout than I expected after owning a vintage Seiko automatic.
For your eyes, I present my new daily wearer, the Seiko SNZG15K1 as offered by a very generous drhr:
Thank you, drhr.
Here's hoping that I make it to 1000 posts so I can make someone's collection a little more whole as well.
