Hello,
I have just tried today a watch i really like, but i am not sure if its too big for my wrist.
The watch is 41 mm which for me is quite a lot, as i am used to vintage watches around 34-36 mm. So i am thinking that this could be the reason for me finding the watch a tad big.
So, what do you guys think? My wrist is around 6,5-6,75 inches.
The watch that i tried:
I also have an option to buy an older model of the same watch, where to lugs seems to be a little bit different. On the first watch they are very straight which perhaps makes the watch looks bigger, when in the older model, they seem to curve more. They are both 41 mm. Perhaps it will look better? Unfortunately i can't try it on, as it is only available online.
I'm guessing that there are no responses because the photos are in links rather than inline.
In terms of the size, it looks a little big (the lugs appear to stick out from your wrist some) but I think it's OK certainly if you like it. I think it's an interesting looking watch with all of the white space.
I am sorry about that! I could not get it working before, but i think its there now!
Unfortunately the pictures are not placed correctly, but i can't seem to figure out how to turn them. They are the right way in the original file.
I am not sure about the lugs. When i tried it on, it did not seem to extend the wrist but stop almost right at the edge of the wrist.

None of the links or attachments are valid. Try a photo-sharing site like photobucket. Georg Jensen does make 38mm watches if memory serves correct. I don't like anything over 40mm on my 7" wrist because they look too large.
It's pretty commanding. Perhaps try for a photo taken from a bit of distance, in the close up I'm tempted to say too large. From a distance it may not look huge but will definitely be an eye catcher. Nice watch BTW,
I don't think it's physically too big, the lugs don't appear to overhang. I do like a dressy watch to look smaller than that on my wrist, but that's just a personal preference.
I'm with Ard on this one. It's very nice and up close, it might look a touch too big but only just so as I randomn stranger over the internet, I say go for it!
I think they both look fine, but if I had to choose I'd go with the older model. I think part of the problem is the watch has no bezel and is all dial which gives the appearance of a larger watch. It's a nice looking watch....
I thank you so much for your replies, they are really helpfull! I dont think the watch looked that big in the store, which as a few of you states, could be due to the pictures being quite close up. Even though my wrists are quite small i am in good shape, so my torso and overarms are quite big, which perhaps could make the watch look not too big?
The watch is btw. to be used as a everyday watch. I have a 36 mm vintage for the more occasions
If was more the lugs i was concerned about, so i have decided to buy the older model with the curved lugs. The shop that i am buying from has 14 days return, so when i received it i will take some better pictures, so you can help me decide.
Its also 11mm in thickness compared to 11,7mm in the new model, which perhaps will make a difference as well!
Here is another picture of the old model with the curved lugs (not my photo):
I don't think it's too big. I usually look at the full picture in the mirror and look at the watch face compared to my head. I have a 6" wrist and 40mm fits perfectly for me.
Hello again!
I have now received the watch, and it really like the look of it.
Personally, i dont think it looks to big for my wrist, but i would still like some of your opinions to me absolutely sure on my choice!
I got it measured as well, and it actually stand at 40mm instead of the 41mm that it said on the website, so its perhaps a little smaller than the newer model that i first tried.

But i am still not sure about the size. As mentioned earlier, i am used to 34-35 mm vintage watches, so its really something different. Therefore i would still some of your honest opinions to make me absolutely sure on my choice on whether i should keep it or send it back!

It's an all-dial watch and that makes it "wear big." I'd say that it looks good - but wouldn't go any bigger. And I wouldn't try to wear it on my even-smaller 6.25-inch wrist!
