    German Acquisition with Photos!

For those of you who read my last thread (https://forums.watchuseek.com/f2/new-...os-795516.html), this is the wife's new watch! A unisex 39mm Alexander Shorokhoff LA01. Marketing and sales presentation is nice: presented in a really nice piano laquered box; each watch is assembled by one watchmaker (as opposed to an assembly line method); watch is sent with a certificate of deviation and pressure test signed by the watchmaker. A simple but beautiful watch with fantastic dial guilloche, with which the light loves to play. I really like the hands which can vary in color from yellow gold, to a rose gold tint. The wrist shots are of my 7.25" wrist, not hers. She may throttle me if she catches me stealing time with her gift...

Very happy with the way it turned out and wife is extremely pleased. Again, can't recommend Grenon's of Newport enough.

    Cheers!

That really is a lovely ladies watch, it's no surprise she loves it. I do really like the "60-20-40" numerals.

Congratulations, that's very nice. From the name of the manufacturer and the design, it's a Russian watch that happens to be made in Germany.

Very nice! I like how the date window nicely blends in and doesn't stand out too much.

Thanks! Close if not, "not quite." Alexander Shorokhoff, of Poljot-International fame, immigrated to Germany in the mid-90s, started PI in 1995, and started the "boutique brand" bearing his name in 2003. All are made in Alzenau, Germany. PI's are using heavily modified Poljot movements, AS's use mostly modified swiss movements, save for a few handwinds using mostly 3133's. Different stuff for sure. All the pieces I saw were absolutely lovely, provided it is your style. Their "New Planet" has a REALLY beautiful dial as well. It is a DD movement.

Thanks all! I am interested in seeing how this goes for her. She loves her Clerc, so it will be interesting to see how much wrist time this gets.

Roller, that's FANTASTICALLY Beautiful. I hope she wears it with pride and in the greatest of health. Wow, just terrific. And now, (darn you), you've introduced me to a new brand to add to my list of wants. Bad bad bad Roller!

Really nice. I can see wearing that myself. And that's saying a lot.

Thanks! Hey Man, your New Year's resolution be damned, I always say. Interesting lineup for sure. Some insane movement engraving on some of their other models, particularly their "Heritage" line. Only two ADs in the US though...

Gary123, Thanks. My sentiment echos your own, and is one of the reasons I took the chance on stepping up to a 39mm for her.
