Unhappy Getting SMP Bracelet to fit ..what to do ?

I'm having an issue with my newest addition - Omega smp 2220.80 , I had it adjusted/ resized at AD and it seemed fine .My wrist changes during the day and this seems to be an impossible bracelet to get right .

At this point it's a tad to large ,can't take out the 1/2 link it'd be too tight . There are times during the day where the fit is ok but I really want it to be a bit snugger .

I don't get it , my seiko's and squales have the micro adj on clasp ? What else can be done ??

I was thinking of adding a pad / felt inside /between bracelet & wrist

I feel your pain. The same thing happened with my PO. 1/2 link or 2 or a myriad of options didn't work for me. When your wrist expands on a hot day the watch strangles it. Adjust it larger and it's flipping all over the place. I picked up the rubber strap, which was fine. At the end of the day I got rid of the watch. Omega really needs to figure this out. It's not that hard.

Been lucky with the PO so far. My wrist hasn't been changing much lately. Not sure why they don't do micro adjustments. The bracelet on my Eterna KonTiki is gorgeous, but no micro adjustments either.

I just suffer through either a tad loose, or tight, for a nicer bracelet.

Two half links are slightly larger than one full link if that helps at all. I have also run into bracelets that just won't fit right. A small piece of moleskin padding on a slightly too large bracelet will often do the trick and is invisible.

Seamaster Bracelet Sizes (in millimeters) for bracelet no. 1503/825, for ref. 2220.80.00 & 2531.80.00

If your having sizing problems, just count the full and half links (if any) in your bracelet, find your size and adjust accordingly:

    13 full = 119.6

Re: Getting SMP Bracelet to fit ..what to do ?

This is my biggest pet peeve with some watch bracelets.

I've cursed at many SMP's and my (now sold) Eterna Kontiki GMT for this reason. The Eterna has one of the best bracelets of any watch at any price point, but it was either too big or too small with the 1/2 links and no micro adjustments in the clasp. It's a deal breaker for me and has been the reason for quite a few watch sales in the past.

Re: Getting SMP Bracelet to fit ..what to do ?

I was about to order Omega Speedmaster , but really want to figure this bracelet thing out first. It's crazy to have a watch costing a few Grand and you don't want to wear it because of the fit. I'm wearing Seiko monster instead of my Omega ...crazy but it fits right .
I'm trying to calculate the 1/2 - full link the last time the 1/2 link went in because it was just too tight without it. Not sure what else to do .

Wow, this is really helpful! I have no intention of buying this watch, but kudos to you for posting this. I think its unacceptable for a watch of this caliber to not have at least 3 micro adjust holes on the clasp. I never noticed this before on Omegas...

Same here, my 7750 watch' original bracelet has no micro-adjustment on the butterfly clasp, I am covering that up with a cheap strap for now.
Me thinks selling bracelets without a micro adjustment solution (rocket science) is a crime, ought to be punished..... Severely..

THe Speedmaster has micro adjustments on the clasp, so it should be fine. Also, you can take a 1/2 link from the Seamaster and put it on the Speedy to get an even better fit. It's the SMP clasp that has no adjustments.
