Gimmicky? Maybe, but I bought it anyway. Just arrived.

I was doing so well, not buying anything (aside from replacing a Gshock as I gave my last one to my nephew) I was at almost 2 months! I had (still have) some cheese in the grail fund. I thought why not, its only a couple of bills!

So I see this online on one of my deal of the day sites and I could not decide if it was awesome, or just lame. It is most certainly different.

Introducing the ANDROID MEN'S BIOLUMINESCENCE AUTOMATIC STAINLESS STEEL BRACELET WATCH ( in green) Whew that's a mouth full! They came in Orange, Blue and Green. The blue looked too girly, the orange was not orange enough, but the green accents made it look more.....everyday normal I guess. Oh and it came with a pretty cool 3 watch zip up travel case.

Very nice case. I think I would pay $30-40 just for this.

I like the face, Simple design, Automatic with the super workhorse Citizens miyota 9015 movement 28800 VPH Automatic Movement with 24 jewels. Superluminova bezel, hands, and markers. (not the second hand, I always like a lumed second hand. ) Screw down crown. No sapphire crystal Hardened mineral instead.

Nice solid 316L surgical stainless steel bracelet......and the weird, or cool part depending on your taste, embedded superluminova all the way down the band.

    semi Exhibition case back.

    Inside the case.

    Screw down crown.

    Low lite shot.

And the money shot in full dark.

It is big, 48 MM. Not sure if I can pull it off, so may be a catch and release on that note alone.

Sorry for the grainy shots, all I had was the cell today. So what does everyone think? Inovatively cool? or just dorky? My impression: Well built, looks good in daylight, decent movement, comfortable, and for 2 bills doesnt break the bank.

For the price, not bad at all. That bracelet is absolutely ridiculous and totally unnecessary, but somehow super cool at the same time. Hope you hang on to it.

For me, the less complications the better so I like the look! I couldn't handle the size, but hope you can. Congrats!

Looks pretty cool to me and nice movement. What's up with the lume, why is it "bioluminescent", or are they just saying that?

Too much lume and 48mm?! Its a little big, but the dial and case shape is actually really attractive. If you can pull of the size, then keep it and enjoy it.

I've read somewhere about another watch using biolume, which is apparently gathered from some mushroom that glows in the dark.

I'm like a little kid when it comes to things that glow in the dark, so the lume is appealing at first glance. I think my ankle would be the right size to pull off that watch, so my wrist doesn't stand a chance. Otherwise, I''d consider getting one if they made a smaller model. For a few hundred, it would be a fun watch to play with.

I like it. The lume is different, I guess.

    Well done!
