Glycine Combat Classic - Help to find out my crown problem

    Hello All,

I have just received my new Glycine Combat 6 Classic 43mm from Massdrop. After unbox it and start to play with the crown I have found a problem that I do not know what it is.

In the crown position #1, crown is used for manual winding and for assure the 5ATM WR, it has to be screwed tight (as is written down in the users manual). On the other hand from the Glycine website I downloaded the watch data-sheet and this document indicates clearly, Crown: Standard crown. (not screw down crown).

My crown can not reach the right position to the case (position #1, screwed tight, according with the written sentence in the watch user manual) since it seems to interfere with the case crown guards. It is not possible in any manner to reach the right final position.

My 1st question is: Glycine Combat Classic series have the crown loose (of course touching the case), but not screwed down as in a classic watch? or it is has to be screwed tight?

My 2nd question (have a look, please, on the attached picture of the watch): What could be the problem behind in my unit from Massdrop?

    - Would be it a problem of unmatching crown and crown guards? or ... Would be it a problem with the crown stem lenght?

Does it appear to be threaded? I'm guessing that it is a standard push-pull crown which would not be unusual for that style of watch with 50m WR.

Sounds like an error in the user's manual. These do not have screw-down crowns.

Yeah, I used to have this watch and fro mwhat I remember, the crwon was not screw down, however, from your pics, you do have a stem length issue, the crown should sit much closer to the case, within 0.2mm ideally.

Some manuals tell you how to screw the crown down even when the watch has a none screw down crown. As for your watch I believe the expression is “could do better”. I’d reject it if possible.

I have a Combat 7 model and my crown also has a small gap between case and crown when the crown is pushed all the way in (position 1). I'd guess around .2mm, maybe slightly less.
