    Which GMT?

I've been wanting a dual time watch for forever now and have decided to go for it. Problem is, I can't decide which one. I've narrowed it down to 3 and would appreciate any advice/opinions anyone has regarding these three choice:

Rolex Explorer II with white face and updated movement
Sinn U2 with black bezel and rubber strap
Glycine Airman Base 22 white face with brown leather strap

Of those three, I like the Rolex best. Totally subjective. I just dig that design.

    Re: Which GMT?

Got to agree with others here that of those three choices, the Rolex is the clear cut winner for me.

My problem with the Sinn is the stubby GMT hand:

As for the Glycine, it definitely has a distinctive look, but just doesn't do it for me...it's a purely aesthetic opinion, though, so take it with that in mind:

From your list? Rollie Exp II. No question.

You might also consider the Omega Seamaster GMT:

    But, I'm biased

Good luck in your decision: Let us know what you choose!

    Re: Which GMT?

Rolex Explorer - In addition to aesthetics, it has the more useful GMT operation where the hour hand can be moved independently. The more common ETA movements move the 24h hand independently. Not as useful when actually crossing time zones.

The Omega GMTs work like the Rolex - so second the Omega's suggestion.

Second choice would be the Glycine - some very interesting watches in the Airman line.

    Re: Which GMT?

Grand Seiko GMTs are way better than any of those watches in every way (except resale value, so get one 2nd hand )

    You could go Spring Drive:

    Or auto:

Either way you'd be picking a winner, and a better quality, better movement, better finished watch than the Rollie or those ETA brands.

But if it has to be one of the original 3, get the Rollie.

Wow that Glycine is awesome...! Any idea on pricing on that? Any good ADs for Glycine worth taking a look at?
