PR vs BR - Which do you prefer?

I've turned into a fan of Hamiltons and have been reading about their slightly older models with ETA movements offering a slightly higher BR (8 bps instead of 6). I do currently own a more recent Hammy with the H-40 movement. I love the long PR, but thinking about shopping around for an older one (in addition to my current one) to get a smoother sweep. Anyway, I thought I'd see what everyone here prefers, out of curiosity.

Do you go for higher BR or longer PR?

Do you think 8bps is noticeably smoother than 6?

I’m with the “I don’t really care” crowd.

I would prefer a longer power reserve. I've had hi-beat rate washes before and I really never noticed improved accuracy performance.

Whichever is more accurate. My Junkers ETA 2824 run at 10spd and 20spd. My Tissot 2824 is near cosc. My Tissot Powermatic 80 runs slow -- -20spd. So the accuracy of the various ETA 2824 or 2824 derived movements are similar in accuracy. So it boils down to how lucky one is in getting an accurate movement.
