Lightbulb Google Search Now Available for the Forum

Google Custom Search has replaced the vBulletin search for the forum. Don't use Advanced Search, just type your query into the box at the top right.

Awesome . I sometimes search WUS too much with Google I get the following error:
Our systems have detected unusual traffic from your computer network. This page checks to see if it's really you sending the requests, and not a robot. Why did this happen?
Hopefully I won't get that anymore by using this custom search.

Wow, that's great! I've been keeping a Google tab open to search for WUS articles, then cutting/pasting the URL. This is much better, the search functions that come with the BBs are awful anyway. Thanks.

P.S. not seeing the Google search results? Looks like the same vBulletin search results to me? Should it look and act differently?

You can go one step further too :D. I have added it as a custom search engine in Firefox; I'm able to call upon the search by typing "wus XXXXXXX" in the address bar.

    +1
Awful didn't even begin to describe it. That's reason I was always bugged by other members saying to new members: " this topic has been discussed before, please do a search before starting a new thread"

I often wondered if those members would be able to find said thread themselves.

    Just my $.02

shouldn't make much difference, I use safari on my macbook here and whilst I haven't added that particular functionality I feel sure you could quite easily as I have added other stuff to it (I use firefox on other computers I use)
