Oh that produces a "special feeling" alright. Love that watch.

One thing I always wondered about the snowflake, is if every dial is identical or, like a snowflake, they are all slightly different. Anyone know?

Thanks for posting - always happy to see GS content.

Having a more scarce sub-model can be appealing - upping the the story of the watch with that different aspect - but the design needs to exceed the original, or be an independent take. Like the US vs European editions of the Tributes to Reverso and Memovox Deep Sea.

Seiko could have done anything, and for me this looks pretty cynical - change a couple colors, boom: new model.
Never mind the applied logos don't match, and the pop of gold unbalances the dial.

Just glad I don't have to chase one.

Very nice. That will be a very special watch for 25 people, and they can grab some udon noodle soup at Yamamotoya Sohnke after the pick up the watch.

I'm not sure... hmm. I guess moving the blue accent from the Spring Drive wording to the PR hand makes it more balanced with the sec hand. Also the addition of gold introduces another color which I may be able to match with honey brown straps as opposed to the blue hued ones I've been doing in a nod to the "cold feeling" of the original design. In any case, I'm going to try contacting them tomorrow to see if it's still available. 25 pieces that's the same as the Eichi 2. Probably goes really fast. If they do have it I'd have to rearrange my flight schedule.

Add: In case anybody didn't notice. IT HAS LUMES!

    Here's the standard Snowflake:
