Question A great Chrono about to hit the market

Longines Grande Vitesse is no longer available on the company web page...maybe they are going to do a new version with the Column Wheel caliber...
so with the CW caliber and a re-designed dial this would be a great watch and at this price point I can't find much competitors

PS: the column wheel caliber is now available on the Conquest line

The Conquest is a sharp looking watch.
It will be interesting to see what replaces the GV.

Too bad about the white number wheel and the useless tachymeter though...

lets forget that idea of a Grande Vitesse with the column wheel caliber because the St Imier Collection is about to hit the market and looks much better than the GV The Longines Saint-Imier Collection

One of the Basel samples initially had just a plain bezel which is much better than the disgusting tachymeter. I'm going to hope they make give the new hydroconquest chrono a column wheel movement.

The tachymeter doesn't bother me. It's a historical hangover from older model chronographs (many of which had even telemeter, pulsometer and log scales!), probably useful for racing car drivers, pilots and doctors of that time

The world doesn't need another chrono nor bad pictures like the top one.

Longines has a lot of models that are not featured on their website, you are just speculating that the model is discontinued, furthermore you are imagining a new model with the cw movement. It´s not a bad thing to expect something nice from a watch company but i don´t think i´d start a thread based just on mere guesses.

The top one looks pretty good. Chronos aren't my thing in general, but it's pretty coo.
