Gs quartz gmt vs oris aquis

    Hi guys,
So recently I bought an oris aquis 43.5 as it was a bargain, blue dial couldn't resist picking it up. Really enjoy the watch however now I can get a great price on a SBGN003 grand seiko quartz gmt.

So would you flip the aquis and buy the gs? Keep in mind have to add about 1000-1500 on top of the aquis. Or keep the oris and add another piece around the 1500 mark (nomos club or something similar) and have the 2 watches instead of just the quartz gs?

Watch is to be used as a daily wearer - I work in an office, I have other a few other pieces and love sports watches

    Cheers!Name: Screenshot_20191008-162923_Chrome_1570513252193.jpg

No, that ugly Red GMT hand is a real turnoff.

That GrandSeiko is slated to be my next watch...or something like that

I’d trade in a second. The GS is in another league

It is indeed another league, but quartz is totally uninteresting to me, I would keep the Oris

Thanks for the replies, a bit of mixed feelings on this one.. if it were spring drive it would be a no brainer but that's double the price!

My worry is not that I wouldn't like it (saw at the ad and finish is exceptional!) more that if *ahem When I go to flip it if there is going to be a market for them.. I gather it's fairly niche being both GS but more so quartz don't want to loose everything on it when it has a few marks.. the quartz in this instance is actually interesting to me but for the masses they probably think it's a sub 1000 watch, not triple that

Yea your wrong there. Buy the GS at a discount and if you sell it then you won’t get hurt that bad. Most people looking at GS quartz on the used market know the costs associated with it
