    Hamilton Khaki Mechanical strap question

I bought this Hamilton and took off the stock strap and put on a BlueShark canvas two piece strap in slate. I like the combo but also feel that a more contrasting strap would maybe be better. The slate colored strap is excellent, but I have a feeling the strap with black dial with bead blasted SS case possibly blend together too much?

To my eye, the slate looks better. Again; just my opinion, but I think the slate makes it look a bit richer and more serious.

I just joined after reading posts for weeks.

I really like your slate canvass strap. It looks great with the watch. Is it comfortable? I like vintage leather straps myself and the Hammy Mechanical is one of my favorite watches. This is what I chose for mine:

Welcome to the forum. Like you, I also like the Hammy mechanicals on vintage leather. Here's my Khaki King on an aged leather strap from Steveo Straps.

I think your Khaki Mechanical looks great on the slate canvas.

Agreed, I think yours looks good with what you picked. I have the green-dialed cousin; it is on the stock strap, which for the green one is a dark green canvas.

Yes the slate strap looks fine. The original tan strap would look better with a silver or white dial.

due to the long lugs this watch also looks great on nato's... it's a great watch to try different options. The mechanical is one of my very favorite Hamilton's..

I like it so much that I have both the olive green and black dials. The sandblasted case together with the sapphire crystal does make it pretty worry free, and I really appreciate the slim case. I had a larger Khaki Automatic as well, but wasn't so keen about the polished bezel, so I ended up selling it.
